With a strong focus on vintage and rare watches—from brands like Rolex, Cartier, and Patek Philippe—we offer carefully selected pieces priced between €3K and €20K. Our boutique in the heart of Amsterdam, designed like an elegant living room, allows us to personally connect with clients and share our expertise. Meet Bernd Gaillard
From an early age, Bernd was drawn to hospitality. After graduating from Hotelschool, he refined his skills in Amsterdam’s fine dining scene, where his love for wine quickly took root. For him, a great bottle isn’t just something to drink, it’s a story to be shared, preferably with good company.
That same passion for stories led him to watches. After five years working with remarkable timepieces, Bernd dreamed of building something of his own. The chance came when he met Jasper Lijfering and was offered the opportunity to take over the very store where Amsterdam Vintage Watches was founded, an opportunity he embraced wholeheartedly.
Today, Bernd welcomes collectors and enthusiasts at Singel 414, where every visit is about more than vintage watches, it’s about sharing the joy, the stories, and the craft behind them.

The idea of Gaillard Watches was born from the unique concept of combining the passion for Watches and Hospitality. We believe that the best way to provide exceptional hospitality and an outstanding experience is by creating a safe and luxurious environment for our guests. Over the past few years, we have created the opportunity to acquire as much knowledge as possible about watches. During this experience we are happy to exchange the accomplishment about all the timeless pieces in our shop.
While we prioritize the hospitality aspect, it was crucial for us to have a physical store where we can personally welcome and engage with our clients, providing them with our knowledge and gain their trust by offering honest products. Our store is designed to feel like a luxurious living room, ensuring that you feel at home while enjoying the opportunity to explore and appreciate our carefully curated collection of watches.

Within this range, we are specialized in vintage- and rare watches from prestigious brands such as Rolex, Cartier, and Patek Philippe.
