AP is a brand known for making innovative and bold design, it is therefore logical that the first model that comes to mind for most people is of course the well-known Royal Oak. The outstanding design on this Canapé is definitely something else. The watch clearly shows Art Deco influences, geometric shapes and sharp lines is what comes back in this timepiece. You can't tell this is a 1990s watch because of it's 1920s/1930s appeal.
This particular AP Canapé is housed in a beautiful 18K yellow gold case. Stunning rounded lugs and the sharp case definitely stand out, this combined with the rounded crystal all comes together very well. The silver dial is well balanced because of the off-center seconds hand at the 6 o'clock position. Applied golden markers in combination with the gold hour and minute hand add to it's classic look. This vintage piece is fitted on a black leather strap and matching Audemars Piguet buckle. The cases houses a hand wound mechanical movement.
