In 1973, to mark the relocation of its manufacturing facility from France to Switzerland, Cartier unveiled a series of new wristwatch designs. Among the twelve new models introduced was the iconic Cartier Gondole, available in either vertical or horizontal shape. It’s a rare opportunity to offer this particular watch, as such timepieces are becoming increasingly rare.
In this case, we have a well-preserved Cartier Tank Gondole Vertical, reference 17010. One of its notable features is the automatic movement. On the caseback, you’ll find a small bubble that allows the rotor to spin, powering the automatic mechanism. This model also shows the Swiss stamp on the bottom.
If you are looking for a more special model than the regular tank for a more affordable price, don't heistate to reach out.
