Rolex Day-Date 1803 Claw Markers

Mister Hans Wilsdorf founded Rolex in 1905. Since the introduction, the brand played a big role in the history of horology. Many innovations, reliable movements and versatile designs is what makes this brand the most well known watch manufacturer in the world. In the 1950s, Rolex launched their most famous sports models like the Submariner, GMT-Master and Explorer. Next to these tool watches, the Day-Date was also introduced. This was the first automatic wristwatch to display the time, day and date at the same time. 

This reference 1803 from 1962 is a stunning true vintage example of the this legendary model. Crafted from 18K rose gold, it is a warm and charming watch on the wrist. It is fitted on a beautiful alligator leather strap with a suede finish matching it's classic look. The silver pie-pan dial has very rare claw markers, please note that this markers have been reapplied. The lume in the alpha hands has aged to a beautiful warm color.
