The Rolex Daytona 165xx series is one of the most desirable models from Rolex. This is because the series is featured with a brand-new movement in collaboration with Zenith. The series 165xx was immediately an icon due to its new features. While still recognizably from the same DNA as the original, this new breed had grown up taking the case diameter to 40mm from 37mm. The 165xx series also received crown guards for the first time, along with a sapphire crystal.

The 165xx is a true transitional model and will be forever an icon in Rolex’s history.

This particular example features a special dial. Rolex didn’t make a lot of white dials in the past, therefore white dials are always collectible, but this one has got some extra sauce. The hour-markers (excluding quarters) are complimented by factory diamond hour markers. The quarters features so called ‘Racing’ numerals, which gives the watch a little sportiness as well.
