The Rolex GMT-Master was originally developed in the 1950s for professional pilots and travelers to keep track of multiple time zones.
Rolex introduced the GMT Master II 16710 in 1989, offering it alongside the Rolex GMT Master 16700. Over the years, the 16710 was replaced by the 116710 in 2007. Throughout the production of the 16710, all versions of this iconic watch featured a black dial, a red GMT hand and the inlay's were in either Blue/Red , Red/Black or all Black.
